Terms and conditions.
The ground rules for working with us, written in plain English.
Last updated 8 October 2026About these terms
These terms apply when you work with MPS Digital Media ("we", "us", "our"), based in Wretton, Norfolk. They sit alongside any quote or proposal we send you. If your quote says something different, the quote wins for that project.
By asking us to start work, or by paying an invoice, you agree to these terms.
What we do
We design and build websites and online shops, create graphics, manage social media accounts and run email marketing for businesses. Your quote sets out exactly what we are doing for you and what is included.
Quotes and getting started
We quote after a chat about what you need, so you know the price before anything starts. For a new website we usually take a deposit of £100 to get going, unless your quote says otherwise. We start once you have accepted the quote and paid the deposit.
Websites and online shops
Once the deposit is paid, we build your website. When it is finished, we invoice you for the rest of the price. The deposit comes off the total, so you do not pay for it twice.
Changes are part of the build. We will make as many changes as are needed to get the site right, within reason. That means changes to the design, wording and images within what we agreed in the quote. If you want something new, like extra pages, new features or a redesign, that is extra work and we will tell you the cost before we start.
Hosting and maintenance
Once your website is built, you own it. We can host and maintain it for you for a monthly fee. The minimum is £30 a month, which covers keeping your website online and general updates and maintenance.
If your site needs more attention than that, such as more updates or changes than usual, the monthly fee will be higher. We will always agree it with you first, and it will be shown in your quote or agreement.
There is no minimum term. You can stop at any time by telling us in writing, and an email is fine. We will stop charging from the end of the billing month you cancel in. If you want to move your site somewhere else, let us know and we will help you do it.
If a monthly payment is missed, we will get in touch and sort it out with you. We would always rather talk first. If a payment stays unpaid, we may pause the hosting until it is settled.
Social media management
Your social media accounts always belong to you. We just need access to them so we can do the work, and you can take that access away at any time. Please keep your own admin access to every account.
Posts, graphics and other content we create for your accounts are covered by the section on who owns what below.
Payment
Invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date. If an invoice is paid late, we may charge interest and compensation as allowed under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Prices are in pounds sterling. Third party costs such as domain names, paid software or advertising spend are separate unless your quote says they are included.
What we need from you
To do a good job on time, we need you to:
- Give us the text, images, logos and information we ask for, and make sure they are accurate
- Make sure you have the right to use anything you give us, such as photos, music and brand material
- Reply to questions and give feedback in a reasonable time
If we are waiting on you, the timeline moves back. Any dates we give are estimates, not guarantees.
Who owns what
Once you have paid in full, you own the finished work we made for you, such as your website, final graphics and written content.
We keep ownership of our own tools, code libraries, templates and working files, and anything we used that belongs to someone else stays with them. Fonts, stock images, plugins and similar items may come with their own licences, and you need to follow them.
We are proud of our work, so unless you tell us in writing that you would rather we did not, we may show the finished work and describe it in our portfolio, case studies and on social media.
Third party services
Some of what we build relies on other companies, such as hosting providers, domain registrars, payment providers like Stripe, and social media platforms. These services have their own terms, prices and downtime, and we do not control them. We will do what we reasonably can to help if something goes wrong, but we are not responsible for problems caused by a third party.
Results
We work hard to get you good results, but we cannot promise specific outcomes such as a number of enquiries, sales, followers, views or search rankings. These depend on lots of things outside our control, including your market, your offer and the platforms themselves. The results we show on this website are examples of past work and are not a guarantee of what you will get.
If you cancel a project
If you cancel a one off project part way through, you pay for the work done up to that point, and the deposit is not refunded. We may also end an agreement if you break these terms, for example by not paying, and we will give you notice where we reasonably can.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost sales or lost business. Our total liability for any problem connected to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.
We take reasonable care and skill in everything we do. If there is a mistake in our work, tell us and we will put it right.
If you are not a business
If you are an individual buying for personal use rather than for a business, your legal rights as a consumer still apply and nothing in these terms takes them away.
Using this website
The content on this website, including text, design and graphics, belongs to MPS Digital Media or the clients who allowed us to show their work. Please do not copy it or reuse it without asking first. We do our best to keep the site accurate, but we cannot promise it is always complete or up to date.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you already have an agreement with us, the terms you agreed to apply to that project unless we both agree otherwise.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you have a problem, please talk to us first. We would always rather sort it out directly.
